"McDonald's decided to restructure the lease, reduced its rent and made a long-term commitment to the building," says Newmark associate director Keith W. Cade, who represented McDonald's Corp. along with managing director John M. Trueman. "In addition, they are changing the space, reconfiguring it to support a more remote based workforce."

Bill Lynch of Jones Lang LaSalle represented Northwestern Mutual, owner of the building.

Meanwhile, in an unrelated deal near McDonald's home base, McDonnell Investment leased 22,077 sf at Teachers' Insurance Annuity's Regency Towers property at 1515 W. 22nd St. NAI Hiffman executive vice president Michael Stephany represented the investment management firm in negotiations with Pat Kiefer of Cushman & Wakefield of Illinois.
