Centex Will Oversee Two Office Projects

WASHINGTON, DC-Developers of two class A office buildings in the District select Centex Construction to serve as the general contractor. The Fairfax, VA-based company will spearhead construction of the 517,600-sf building at 1101 New York Ave. NW and the 561,500-sf facility at 25 Massachusetts Ave. NW.

WASHINGTON, DC-The construction of two separate class A office projects, 1101 New York Ave. NW and Republic Square, will be overseen by Centex Construction now that the respective project developers–Louis Dreyfus Property Group and Republic Properties Corp.–have chosen the Fairfax, VA-based company for the job. Centex, a division of Dallas’s Centex Corp., will provide both preconstruction and general contracting services for the developments.

At 1101 New York Ave., Centex will be charged with erecting the 517,600-sf structure, which will rise 13 stories above a three-level subterranean parking facility. The $50-million project, designed by Kevin Roche John Dinkeloo and Associates LLC, is scheduled for delivery in December of next year.
