BALTIMORE-The mixed-use property known as Clipper Mill has secured a new tenant for the office segment of the residential and commercial development. The environmental design and consulting firm Biohabitats Inc. leased 7,500 sf of Clipper Mill’s 39,000 sf of office offerings, and will relocate its corporate headquarters from neighboring Timonium, MD this summer. Eric Jones of Struever Bros. Eccles & Rouse Inc., the company that is developing Clipper Mill, tells GlobeSt.com that Biohabitats lease is for a seven-year term. Specific terms of the new tenant’s contract are not being released, but Jones says the office space at Clipper Mill is being marketed for $16 to $17 per sf.

Located off I-83 on an 18-acre parcel that was formerly home to the Poole & Hunt machine manufacturing and foundry plant, Clipper Mill is a redevelopment effort that has refurbished and replaced buildings dating back to the mid 1950s with structures that will ultimately encompass 235 residential units, 51,000 sf of art studio space, and the aforementioned 39,000 sf of commercial office space.
