This month, Ernesti Enterprises will move to 934-1 E. Southern Ave. in Mesa from a 4,000-sf spot at 1845 E. 6th St. in Tempe, says Mark Wilcke, a senior vice president with NAI Horizon who represented the seller in the transaction. Kris Martin of Grubb & Ellis/BRE Commercial LLC negotiated the acquisition for Ernesti Enterprises.
Roberts developed the twin buildings on a speculative basis in 2004. "Ernesti will be the first owner and tenant in the buildings," Wilcke tells GlobeSt.com. He adds Ernesti's owners wanted to stay close to its existing leased location, but the buildings in Mesa were such a great fit that they were willing to move to another part of the Valley. "I think they were more concerned about whether or not the buildings met their needs rather than location," Wilcke says.
