Lifestyle Center Anchors Proposed Mixed-Use Project

ROMEO, MI-A 535-acre mixed-use development, anchored by a lifestyle center, is under review in Macomb County's Washington Township. Plans call for nearly 200 units of senior housing.

ROMEO, MI-A lifestyle center on 535 acres in Macomb County’s Washington Township is under review. The Mitchell E. Karam Corp. has proposed the development, which would also include residential, medical, senior housing and even some light industrial uses, says Gary Kirsh, township supervisor.

A proposed price of the development has not yet been released. The development would encompass 535 acres, most of which is now the Romeo Golf Course, bounded by Powell Road to the east, 32 Mile Road to the north, M-53 to the west and 31 Mile Road to the south.
