The LISC says its last campaign exceeded its goals and raised $15 million while leveraging more than $282 million in neighborhood development. Seven planning groups are expected to be among those that submit redevelopment proposals to the agency this summer. Up to five proposals will be selected for funding help for the three-year term.

Among those expected to submit development plans:

* Community Development Corp. of Warren: McNichols Road to 10 Mile Road, Eight Mile between Hoover and Mound.

* Lincoln Park Economic Development Corp.: South Fort Street/Visger corridor bounded by I-75, Southfield, Schaefer and the Detroit River.

* Greater Corktown Development Corp.: Michigan Avenue between Campus Martius and Schaefer.

* NorthStar Community Development Corp.: Livernois between Nine Mile Road and the Lodge Freeway.

* Northwest Detroit Neighborhood Development: Evergreen to the east, Beech Daly to the west, Frisbee to the north and Fullerton to the south.

* Eight Mile Boulevard Association: Eight Mile Road corridor between I-275 and I-94.

* Jefferson East Business Association: I-94 to the north, Detroit River to the south, Cadieux Road to the east and St. Jean Avenue to the west.

Among the charitable groups helping to fund the LISC campaign are the Kresge Foundation, the Ford Foundation, the Hudson-Webber Foundation, the John S. and James L. Knight Foundation, the McGregor Fund, Living Cities and State Farm Insurance Cos.
