Hino, which is majority-owned by Toyota, wants to expand its truck sales in the US. The new facility will also have an area to allow potential customers to test drive Hino's trucks.

Hino leased a 34,000-sf building at Halstead Road and Interchange Drive in Farmington Hills. The building is undergoing a major renovation to accommodate Hino. Move-in is expected in early spring, according to Stuart Frankel Development Co., which owns the 300,000-sf Halstead Commerce Park where the building is located. Cushman & Wakefield of Michigan office in Southfield brokered the deal.
