Interwest Label Inc. inked a 62-month lease for 14,536 sf while US Remodelers Inc. has taken 9,046 sf for 64 months at 9245 S. Farmer Ave. Collectively, the leases have a payout of $675,865 for building owner and developer, Phoenix-based Hewson Co., says Ken McQueen, a VP with Trammell Crow Co.

"With these leases, Hewson's entire portfolio of 106,220 sf is 100% occupied," McQueen tells GlobeSt.com. The Trammell Crow leasing team, which includes James Harper and Andy Ogan, took over the assignment in mid-2004.

Atlanta-based Interwest, a manufacturer and supplier of thermal, barcode and tracking labels, will relocate this month from 5230 S. 39th St., where it occupied 8,800 sf for its manufacturing, distribution and administrative offices. Ched Eckert of GVA Daum represented Interwest in the transaction.

Marking its first spot in the Valley, Lewisville, TX-based US Remodelers chose the Farmer Avenue warehouse because it's within a block of one of its top customer's stores, Home Depot. The company, which re-faces kitchen cabinets, got four months free rent in the eight-year-old building, McQueen says. Cresa Partners Dallas/Dillon Corporate Services negotiated the deal for US Remodelers.
