WASHINGTON, DC-A $800 million class A office development, which will ultimately provide 1.8 million sf of office, retail and parking space in the District’s burgeoning NoMa Corridor, moves forward with the Bristol Group’s start of the redevelopment of an existing data center facility now known as One NoMa Station. Scheduled to emerge from the dust of construction activity this fall, One NoMa Station will offer 409,800 sf of technologically sophisticated space divided between two connected towers of approximately 200,000 sf each. The redevelopment endeavor is expected to cost about $32 million.

Located at 131 M St. NE, One NoMa Station is in the center of the rapidly developing NoMa Corridor, a previously underutilized area north of Massachusetts Ave. near Union Station in the Capitol Hill area. More specifically, the campus boasts a coveted spot across from the recently opened New York Avenue Metro Station. Other residents of the corridor include XM Satellite Radio global headquarters, a Federal Express regional distribution center, the US Securities and Exchange Commission headquarters and the headquarters of healthcare insurance provider Carefirst-Blue Cross/Blue Shield. The US Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco & Firearms is currently developing its headquarters in the area, as well.
