WESTMINSTER, MD-There is little room left at Westminster Crossing now that Gavigan's Home Furnishings has signed on to occupy 27,500 sf at the 225,000-sf retail property. Property owner Greenberg Commercial Corp. acquired the shopping center, located at the intersection of Englar Rd. and Rte. 140, in mid-2003 and began a $15 million renovation that just recently reached completion.

Gavigan's will be neighbors with 38,600-sf grocery anchor Superfresh, Marshalls, Bed, Bath & Beyond, Michaels, Office Depot, Old Navy and Denny's, to name a few. Gavigan's lease, the terms of which have not been disclosed, leaves the shopping center 98% occupied.

"The addition of Gavigans Home Furnishings rounds out and substantially completes our re-tenanting program at Westminster Crossing, and the retailer will be an excellent addition to our merchant mix," says Greenberg vice president Mark Bomse. "Furniture stores tend to draw a fresh influx of consumers to retail centers on a regular basis, a phenomenon that will generate new opportunities for our other tenants."
