Linklaters previously occupied 79,000 sf and now occupies space on the 18th, 19th, 21st and 22nd floors of the 1.8-million-sf site. Linklaters was represented by Kenneth A. Siegel, managing director, with Jones Lang LaSalle's New York office. Fisher Brothers, the building owner, was represented in house.

"This lease is a dramatic illustration of Linklaters' commitment to growth in New York and throughout the Americas," says Siegel. JLL has represented Linklaters for seven years, securing several leases for the firm as it has grown to its current size. Paul Wickes, Linklaters managing partner for the Americas, adds that the JLL team listened to the firm's needs and structured a transaction that will serve it for years to come.

Built in 1969, 1345 Ave. of the Americas is located between 54th and 55th streets on the west side of the avenue. The tower is built on an 83, 600-sf floorplate situated on a 100,000-sf lot. Floors are 40,000 sf. Others on the tenant roster include Avon; Robinson, Brog, Leinwood, Reich, Genovese & Gluck; Howard J. Rubenstein Associates Inc.; and Smith Barney.
