Taubin says the move will allow the firm to design its own office space and that flexibility has been built into the arrangement. The flexible lease terms will enable Keane to expand or consolidate over the lease term, he pointed out.

Last year, W&H began a restoration project at the 81-year-old former garment manufacturing building. Public corridors throughout the 439,000-sf site are being redone. There will be a new lobby and entrance, complete with marble floors and walls and a new concierge desk. In addition, the elevator cabs and mechanical equipment will be modernized and the building's mechanical systems will be upgraded to allow for additional electrical capacity. Other improvements include new windows, washrooms, HVAC system and mechanical and safety systems.
