"Hilton is designing and installing a state-of-the art facility to service their 5,000 rooms in the Chicago market," says Holladay Properties senior vice president Tim Healy, Sr., whose company is developing Ameriplex at the Port. When the laundry facility begins operation this summer, it will serve Hilton Chicago, Hilton Palmer House, Hilton O'Hare, DT Club O'Hare Airport and the Embassy Suites Chicago Downtown Lakefront.
While terms were not disclosed, space in another building in the industrial park is being offered at a $3.50 per sf net lease rate. Walgreen's, DaimlerChrysler and Sanofi-Aventis Pharmaceuticals already have leased space at Ameriplex at the Port. NAI Hiffman senior associate Benjamin Cremer and executive vice president Anthony Burns represented Holladay Properties while a Grubb & Ellis team of Jack Cozzie and Larry Goldwasser handled negotiations for Beverly Hills, CA-based Hilton Hotels Corp.
