Inland Real Estate Sales, Inc. is marketing Catherine Courts as a condominium conversion candidate. It is located less than two miles east of O'Hare International Airport, three blocks from the Kennedy Expressway and Chicago Transit Authority's Blue Line. "This property has great appeal to prospective homeowners who want a city address but don't want the city feel," says Joe Esselman, representing the sellers with associates Kevin List, Jordan Shtulman and Andrew Watson.
The unit mix at Catherine Courts includes studios, one- and two-bedroom units. At DeWitt Place Apartments, which has a 93% occupancy rate, all but four units are 410-sf studios. The rest are 547-sf one-bedroom units. While the price per unit for Catherine Courts is in five figures, the price is $123,864 per unit for DeWitt Place Apartments, as well as $288 per sf. Marcus & Millichap Real Estate Investment Brokerage Co. investment specialists Eric Bell and Shaun Buss are representing a locally-based investment partnership.
