Commercial Kentucky continued to service clients in the Louisville area, often teaming with Cushman. In 2004, the brokerage completed more than $200 million in investment sales in the Louisville CBD and was active in the leasing markets. It also offers full-time market research capabilities, tracking more than 18 million sf of office space and 97 million sf of industrial space on a quarterly basis.

Phil Scherer is president of Commercial Kentucky and Charles Casper serves as executive vice president. The pair were partners of Scherer/Casper & Associates that was purchased by Cushman & Wakefield in 1981. Scherer looks forward to reuniting with C&W. He anticipates the advantages of utilizing "Cushman & Wakefield's brand name, its national and global reach and its full array of services."

Started in 2002, the alliance program was created to expand Cushman & Wakefield's client services to specific geographic markets where the firm does not maintain an office. These firms will provide avenues for C&W's range of fully integrated real estate services. In December, C&W increased its presence in Puerto Rico with the addition of Property Concepts Commercial to its alliance. Property Concepts links C&W's platform for clients operating in the continental US, Puerto Rico, the Caribbean, and Central and South America.
