Permanent Mission Extends Lease

NEW YORK CITY-The Permanent Mission of Ireland signed a 12-year lease extension for the 15,895 sf it occupies at One Dag Hammarskjold Plaza. Financial details of the transaction were not released. Space in the 50-story, class A office tower located at 885 Second Ave. between 47th and 48th streets, is advertised at $35 per sf.

Matthew McBride of CB Richard Ellis negotiated the lease renewal and extension on behalf of the government of Ireland; the ownership was self represented. According to McBride, the Mission opted to renew early to protect its tenancy as well as to lock in an attractive rate.
