TCC Breaks Ground on 161,000-SF McKesson B-T-S

CONROE, TX-McKesson Corp. signs a 10-year lease with Trammell Crow Co. to kick off the Conroe Park North project. Set to deliver in December, the facility will deliver one roof for two distribution hubs in the pharmaceutical giant's 30-location network.

CONROE, TX-McKesson Corp. has contracted with Trammell Crow Co. for a 161,000-sf, industrial build-to-suit in Conroe Park North. The pharmaceutical supplier inked a 10-year lease to get the project moving.

TCC has started moving dirt for the pharmaceutical giant’s distribution center to service South Texas and Louisiana, says Jim Casey, managing director of development and investment for TCC’s Houston office. He tells GlobeSt.com that San Francisco-based McKesson Corp. plans to consolidate two regional distribution centers into the Conroe facility. The project–McKesson’s first location in the region–will add 100 jobs to the area. The corporation has yet to announce which two centers in its 30-location network will be consolidated, but its closest facilities to the project site are located in Harahan, LA, Grapevine, TX, Oklahoma City, Memphis and Phoenix.

Situated on 16 acres along Pollock Drive near Interstate 45, the fully air-conditioned build-to-suit will be ready to occupy in December. The building will feature 32-foot clear heights and a cross-dock configuration as well as 11,000 sf of office area and 46,000 sf of mezzanine space.
