FREDERICK, MD-The City of Frederick moves forward on the development of a 27,000-sf municipal office facility and parking structure in the historic downtown area here by selecting Hess Construction Co. to handle the building of the $16.3 million project. Desman Associates and Proffitt & Associates Architects are on board as the designers.

The development will sit near the corner of W. Patrick St. and S. Carroll St., with one four-story office building consisting of 24,000 sf on Patrick St., and a one-story office structure offering 3,000 sf on Carroll St., facing Carroll Creek. The parking deck will sit in between the two office structures and will feature space to accommodate 650 vehicles.
