Bids Due for 20-Acre Manufacturing Plant

DURANT, OK-Sealed bids are due today for the former Durant Plastics toy factory here that borders 21st Street on the east side of US 75/69, about 70 miles north of Dallas.

DURANT, OK-Sealed bids are due today for the 20-acre former Durant Plastics toy factory here. The plant borders 21st Street on the east side of US 75/69, about 70 miles north of Dallas. The injection molding plant closed earlier this year when the current owner, Processed Plastic Co., moved production to another location. Steven Good, chairman of the Chicago-based auctioneer Sheldon Good & Co., says the site is adaptable for a variety of industrial purposes, including light manufacturing storage and distribution. There is no minimum bid for the property and it has not been on the market in the recent past, a Sheldon Good representative tells GlobeSt.com.The property is being offered in two separate parcels. Parcel 6640A includes the building and eight acres of land. Parcel 6640 B includes the 12 acres of adjacent development land. The two parcels will also be available for purchase together as one. With regard to the existing structure, the original 24,960 sf of manufacturing area, built in 1965, features a 14-foot ceiling, three truck docks, 1,500 sf of office area. The remaining 44,800 sf of warehouse features a 15-foot ceiling, six truck docks and two drive-in doors.”This facility is an excellent clean facility for continued light industrial manufacturing use, or it can be divided into a multiple-use building,” says Good. “The property offers excellent exposure to heavily traveled US-75/69 and is just 70 miles north of Dallas.”
