DP Partners Begins Work on $150M LogistiCenter

SAUK VILLAGE, IL-"Any day that results in a potential of attracting between 1,500 and 2,000 jobs in the region and an estimated $60 million in local taxes over the next 20 years is quite a red-letter day," says Sauk Village Mayor Roger G. SAUK VILLAGE, IL-Work has begun on infrastructure improvements at the $150-million LogistiCenter at Sauk Village. Reno, NV-based DP Partners broke ground on the 325-acre project, which will be its second in the Chicago market, Tuesday.

The first building, a 412,615-sf speculative distribution center, is scheduled for completion in the third quarter. Grubb & Ellis senior vice presidents Michael J. Piscoran, SIOR, and Randy Koch are marketing space there at $3.05 per sf. While that building could be expanded to 776,615 sf, LogistiCenter at Sauk Village ultimately could add five million sf of space to the industrial market. Bounded by Highway 394, Cottage Grove Avenue, Sauk Trail and the EJ&E railroad, the site also is eight miles north of the proposed Abraham Lincoln National Airport in Peotone. “We are long-term owners of industrial properties, so the proposed airport was an important site-selection criteria for us,” says DP Partners chief operating officer Aaron H. Paris.
