WP Carey Names DuGan CEO

NEW YORK CITY-WP Carey & Co. president Gordan F. DuGan was elected to serve as the investment firm’s chief executive officer. He joined the company in 1988 as assistant to the chairman. DuGan was also elected CEO of the WP Carey-advised Corporate Property Associates series of income generating, publicly held, non-traded REITS and retains his position of vice chairman of these entities as well.

Wm. Polk Carey, chairman of the firm said the time was right to continue with transition plans. “With the approach of my 75th birthday, this was a natural time to further our transition plans.” Carey adds that DuGan’s “inherent leadership and management skills make him more than qualified to serve as CEO, while his work ethic and commitment to our investors and tenant companies alike bode well for WP Carey’s continued success.”
