Once completed, the eatery will feature outdoor seating along Larned Street. Larson Realty Group is managing the build-out for both projects.
Wells Real Estate Investment Trust, Inc. acquired 150 W. Jefferson in March 2003. At that time, the company hired local real estate firm Larson Realty Group to handle property management, and Trammell Crow to handle leasing for the property.
Both Grabba Java and 150 West Café have signed 10-year leases at the building. "These leases with Grabba Java and 150 West Café will benefit tenants of 150 West Jefferson, as well as the entire Downtown community," says Eric Larson, president and chief executive officer of Larson Realty Group. "We're pleased to contribute to the continued rebirth of Downtown Detroit with the addition of these fine retail outlets. Both will play a part in improving the quality of life in the city."
"We're proud of our quality tenant base at 150 West Jefferson and are pleased to be able to offer them a superior work environment with top-tier amenities," says Joel Williamson, vice president of asset management for the Midwest at Wells Real Estate Funds. "These new leases, along with a series of capital improvements we've made at the property, are consistent with our long-term investment strategy of continually upgrading and enhancing our portfolio."
