"We have identified Northwest suburbs as an attractive investment office submarket going forward," says Younan Properties Inc.chairman and chief executive officer Zaya S. Younan. "In addition, we feel that certain markets in Chicago have bottomed-out and will recover as the economy strengthens."

Built in 1994, Levi Strauss & Co., Maytag, Whirlpool, SERTA, Frigidaire and John Deere also are tenants at Prairie Stone Commons. Sears, Roebuck and Co. moved its corporate headquarters to the Prairie Stone Business Park from Sears Tower. Steve Jackson of HI Group represented the retailer, which recently merged with Kmart.

Younan adds he hopes to acquire another 1 million sf of office asset by the end of the year. Prairie Stone Commons is the company's only asset east of the Mississippi River.
