TCC senior vice president Steve Rocher and vice president Dave Hanusa won the nod. Brad Sinclair of Transwestern Commercial Services Inc.'s local office previously had the assignment. He was not available for comment on the changing of the guard at One Riverway Dr. in the Galleria submarket.
"It was very hotly contested," Hanusa tells GlobeSt.com. "Of course, we're delighted to have the assignment." Industry experts familiar with the situation say Rocher's existing relationship with UniLev principals, Daniel and Raymond Levy, played into the decision. Rocher's team, which includes Kristen Rabel and Charles Scoville, also lease several other UniLev buildings in the metro area. As it does elsewhere, UniLev took over management of One Riverway.
Hanusa says he and Rocher will aggressively seek new tenants for the class A office building, which is 92% leased. The tenant roster includes TexasCapital Bank, Northwestern Mutual Insurance and the law firm of Fish and Richardson. "We still have some prime space left such as 12,000-sf block on the fourth floor," Hanusa points out, adding the building has a quoted rental rate of $22 per sf, full-service.
