Liberty Point Corp. signed a five-year lease with a payout of $1.3 million for 8440 S. Hardy Dr., says Rick Lee, principal for Phoenix-based Lee & Associates Arizona. He tells GlobeSt.com that the Liberty Point pact brings the 75,000-sf Hardy Drive building to full. Hoffman Estates, IL-based Sears, Roebuck and Co. uses the remainder of the building for a call center.

According to Lee, Liberty Point will move into space formerly occupied by Morristown, NY-based Honeywell International Inc. "The space was on the market for 18 months," he says. "The market has really picked up now, but the market for call center space in South Tempe was pretty slow for a while. There's some space that's been on the market for two to three years."

Lee negotiated terms for the building owner, San Francisco-based iStar Financial. The tenant was represented by Darryl Szarka and Matt Englehorn with Scottsdale, AZ-based DKS Development.
