WASHINGTON, DC-Ground has broken on Providence Square, a 12-unit condominium property at the intersection of Kentucky Ave. and 15th St on the edge of the Capitol Hill submarket. The project, which will extend the Capitol Hill neighborhood further east toward the Anacostia River, is being spearheaded by Drummond Development and will cost $4.4 million to complete, including a $1.2 million price tag for the land.

“This up-and-coming area on the eastern end of Capitol Hill offers a close-in urban living experience in a genuine neighborhood,” says Steve Schwat, a principal of Drummond and its parent company, Urban Investment Partners. “The Washington Nationals are playing this spring at the nearby RFK Stadium, and the District government is developing a grand master plan for Reservation 13, the former site of DC General Hospital.”
