Ideas for the town center have focused on a major civic park and plaza for cultural activities like a farmers market, art festivals and outdoor concerts. The town center also would contain an office park, a 250-room business-class hotel, a small-scale grocery and other shops to serve the new neighborhood.

Damon Farber Associates will provide the planning and design expertise to assist the city in creating a plan for the future of this area. The city recently had its first public hearing on the Town Center concept, and will have two more -- on May 11 and June 15.
