Located at the intersection of South Capitol St. and Danbury St., Danbury Station will occupy a parcel that was formerly home to several derelict and abandoned apartment buildings. It cost the Department of Housing and Community Development $1 million to demolish.

Williams says in a statement during his State of the District Address earlier this year. "We're not talking about a few more dollars here or there. We're not just talking about bricks and mortar. We're talking about an innovative and holistic approach to creating healthy neighborhoods."
