Senior manager and nine-year CarrAmerica vet Warfield leaves behind his position as general manager after one year to become a senior general manager. He will go from running the operation of 1.4 million sf of office space in the city's central business district to managing 1.8 million sf in the Downtown area. Having occupied the role of general manager for the last decade, Fitzgerald will now move up to senior general manager, and will be responsible for 2.3 million sf of office space in the company's suburban Washington, DC portfolio.

Hugo makes the leap from senior property manager to general manager in less than 18 months, and will expand his expert reach to include 1.5 million sf in suburban Washington, DC, after having overseen 1.3 million sf in Northern Maryland's Rosslyn/Ballston submarket for the last year. New team member Bevirt brings a 20-year history in Metropolitan Washington, DC's commercial real estate business with him to his position of senior vice president. A former senior vice president with real estate services firm Cassidy & Pinkard, Bevirt will apply his expertise to overseeing the leasing and marketing of the company's five-million-sf owned and/or leased office spaces in Downtown Washington, DC.

The promotions, as well as the addition of a new member are part of CarrAmerica's effort to accommodate the growth of its property portfolio and operations. The company and its affiliates own interests in 286 office properties totaling 26 million sf in several key metropolitan markets across the country. And Washington, DC accounts for a large segment of those holdings.
