NEW YORK CITY-Approximately 300 industry heavy hitters are expected to be in attendance for the third annual RealShare Net Lease on Tuesday, May 3 at the Marriott Marquis in Midtown. A wide variety of topics affecting the net lease, sale-leaseback, 1031 and TIC marketplaces will be featured during forums, roundtables and a town hall meeting. One highlight will be the mini roundtable discussion which will key in on specific niche plays in the net lease environment such as auto dealership and convenience store real estate, overseas sale-leasebacks and zero cash-flow deals.

“The third annual RealShare Net Lease will once again bring together all of the leading players in the net lease, sale-leaseback, 1031 and TIC industries,” comments Richard Kelley, director of the RealShare Conference Series. “No event in this field has more top-flight speakers, a deeper, thoughtful and more varied agenda, and high-level networking.”

Also featured during the day-event will be a developers’ forum on the outlook for net lease product and a diverse group of players from across the tenant-in-common industry discussing “What’s Making the TIC Business Tick?” After welcoming remarks from Real Estate Media president & CEO Jonathan A. Schein, Robert M. White, Jr. president, Real Capital Analytics Inc. will lead the day off with a keynote address. That will be followed by the ever-popular Town Hall Meeting. Moderated by Gerald J. Levin, senior managing director of Mesirow Financial, the discussion will focus on the state of the net lease market. Anticipated participants include Gordon F. Dugan, CEO & president, W.P. Carey & Co. LLC; Bernard J. Haddigan, managing director, Marcus & Millichap; Laurie A. Hawkes, president, US Realty Advisors LLC;Michael K. Houge, CCIM, SIOR, CEO/principal, Upland Real Estate Group Inc.; and Ethan Nessen, principal, CRIC Capital. Issues to be addressed will be interest rates, investment markets, demographics, cap rates and supply and demand.A capital markets session, moderating by W. Kyle Gore, managing director, Legg Mason Wood Walker Inc., will deal with the ebb and flow of debt equity. It will feature speakers such as Barclay G. Jones, III, executive vice president, iStar Financial;Doug Neal, managing director, Banc of America Securities; and Robin Sofio, director, Deutsche Bank Mortgage Capital LLC.
