During the quarter, Brinker and its franchise partnersopened Q4 restaurants. The company now operates 1,557restaurants including 1,051 Chili's. Overall, thecompany posted revenues $1 billion, an increase of8.3% compared with $931.9 million reported for thesame period in fiscal 2004, and reported net income of$55.1 million.

According to Brinker, the gains were driven by newrestaurant development and a 3.2% increase incomparable store sales for all Brinker brands, whichinclude Romano's Macaroni Grill, Maggiano's LittleItaly, On The Border Mexican Grill & Cantina, CornerBakery Café and Rockfish Seafood Grill.

Most of Brinker's brands performed well during thequarter, although not as strongly as Chili's. Forexample, same store sales increased 4% at On TheBorder and 3.3% at Maggiano's. Macaroni Grill was theonly underperformer with a same store sales decreaseof 1.1%.

Looking forward, Brinker is forecasting fourth quarterrevenue to increase 1% to 2% over the last fiscalfourth quarter. The company expects comparable storesales to grow 2% to 3%.
