Automatic Gate Systems Inc. is relocating its operations from 3640 E. Washington St. to 237 S. 23rd St., which was sold by Darrell Tannatt of Phoenix after a nine-year hold. The seller previously sold a medical supply business that operated out of the 35-year-old complex and now wanted to divest of the real estate, according to Andrew Markham with Grubb & Ellis/BRE Commercial LLC.
Markham tells GlobeSt.com that the one-acre asset sat on the market more than a year, but recently received a lot of investor interest. "It came down to two groups chasing the building," he says. Automatic Gate Systems made the highest offer, meeting the full ask.Markham and Mike Haenel, also with Grubb & Ellis/BRE represented the seller. Sam Sorenson of Sorenson & Black Commercial Brokerage in Phoenix bargained the buy side.
