The address of the building is 9380 Winnetka Ave., which is just across from CPU Options on Winnetka. "Working with just one company throughout the planning and construction process really simplifies what could have been a very confusing and difficult process," says Hue Van Lien, president of Modern Manufacturing and Engineering. Ryan expects to complete the facility, will house both the offices and manufacturing space, by October.

The building features a two-story curved reflective glass exterior curtain-wall, which will mark the main entrance to the office portion of the building. The curved glass façade ends at two large rusticated masonry "shoulders." The masonry detail steps down along the building sides, exposing sandstone aggregate pre-cast concrete wall panels with window openings that will provide natural lights to the manufacturing space. The entrance plaza and landscaping is designed to enhance the building's features and direct customers to the main entrance.

Managing the construction project are Roman Roos of Modern Manufacturing and Engineering, and Joy Gjefe of Ryan Cos. Ryan officials say that its single-source approach offers flexibility in defining the scope of a project, solving problems and meeting construction deadlines.
