San Diego-In response to downtown San Diego’s growing demand for higher density housing, and, specifically, a high-rise condo market, Urban Property Services has formed. The property management firm is being launched by Rebecca M. Kim. The firm will offer a host of services, including property management, building maintenance, custodial, real estate sales, home loans, rental management and maintenance manuals. “Realizing that downtown condo buyers want to protect their investments, Urban’s management model will bring savings and, ultimately, superior appreciation values to the real estate we manage,” says Kim, who will serve as president/CEO.One of the firm’s first projects is the management of la Vita, a 304-unit condominium development in Little Italy. The company’s management model offers homeowner association (HOA) board of directors the ability to stay focused on enhancing their real estate values instead of supervising multiple vendors.Kim has set her sights on Urban Property Services becoming the premiere management company in San Diego. She intends to build a company culture with employee profit sharing, above market-rate wages and competitive benefits. With 22 years experience in real estate, Kim served as managing partner for Ventana Property Services prior to launching Urban Property Services. Before that she was employed with BRE Real Estate Investment Trust, formerly the Trammell Crow Company, where she held the position of vice president of the firm.Patrick Willette will serve as CFO and co-founder of Urban Property Services. He has nearly 30 years of building industry experience, most recently serving as operations manager for ISEC Inc., where he oversaw numerous multi-million dollar high-rise and specialty construction projects, including the San Diego Hyatt Regency Hotel, Four Seasons Aviara, Trump 29 Casino and the San Diego Grand Hyatt Hotel.
