Rampe will continue to serve as a director and executive committee member of the World Trade Center Memorial Foundation. In that capacity, he will help lead an international fundraising campaign to build the memorial for those lost in the World Trade Center attacks of 1993 and 2001.

"It has been both an honor and a privilege to work on the rebuilding of Lower Manhattan and the recovery of our nation," Rampe says.

"Since the LMDC was created, Kevin Rampe has been instrumental in our efforts to rebuild Lower Manhattan. [Rampe] helped build and lead the agency which put together a visionary master plan for the redevelopment and created a moving design for the memorial. The revitalization of Lower Manhattan is well under way thanks to Kevin's many efforts," Gov. George Pataki says. "Kevin Rampe has been a tremendous asset to the Downtown community and to the rebuilding effort," WTC developer Larry A. Silverstein says. "He has proven time and again to be knowledgeable about all the complexities of the World Trade Center redevelopment process. He is a true leader with the rare ability to create consensus among different stakeholders."
