NIH's commitment to taking on the space for its Office of Financial Management and Human Resources comes three years into the office facility's vacancy, which was prompted by the relocation of demand and supply chain solutions provider Manugistics Inc.

Developed in 1981, 2115 E. Jefferson St. is a six-story structure between Rockville Pike and Interstate 270 in Montgomery County. Robert C. Dickman of McShea & Co. represented property owner Realty Associates Fund VI in the transaction.

Dickman tells GlobeSt.com that the lease is for a 10-year term. Financial specifics of the deal have not been disclosed; however, McShea is presently marketing space in the class B building for $24.50 per sf. NIH's Darian LeBlanc provided the tenant representation for NIH; McShea has had the leasing assignment with the property owner for the last year.
