The company will use the new facility at 2324 E. University Dr. to conduct auctions and to display inventory, according to Edward Moore, a senior associate with Grubb & Ellis/BRE Commercial LLC. Moore represented the building owner, All Development LLC of Houston, while Auction Systems Auctioneers & Appraisers was represented by Jack Stone of locally based JMS Commercial Real Estate Services Inc.
Auction Systems plans to relocate from 3030 East Washington St. to its new building in August. The 1980s-era building is currently occupied by Topseal Systems. "We started marketing the building about eight months ago, and it took about three months to finalize the deal with Auction Systems," Moore tells GlobeSt.com.
The University Drive facility is Auction Systems' third location in 10 years. The new facility will allow the new occupant to accommodate as many as six auctions per day and create a 2,500-sf gallery to showcase high-end artwork and antiques.
