Constar Signs 100,737-SF Deal at Blackhawk Center

WEST CHICAGO-Beverage packing and bottling company Constar signs a lease for a warehouse at USAA Realty Co.'s Blackhawk Center at 1801 Hawthorne Ln., next to DuPage Regional Airport.

WEST CHICAGO-USAA Realty Co. has landed a tenant for its 100,737-sf Blackhawk Center warehouse at 1801 Hawthorne Ln. here, signing Constar to a lease for the entire building. Although terms were not disclosed, asking net lease rates for the property, which also includes 1726-1850 Blackhawk Dr., are $3.65 per sf, although they range up to $7.50 per sf in the area.

Built in 1988, the building is on 12.2 acres next to the DuPage Regional Airport. Fraser Paper, United Recycling and World Tableware already are tenants at the Blackhawk Center. In addition to Blackhawk Center, USAA Realty Co. also owns the Orchard Park Distribution Center in nearby Aurora. Vacancy in the Central Kane/DuPage County submarket is 6.4%, according to CB Richard Ellis.
