Tenants Stake Claim to 44,700 SF at Rockville Metro

ROCKVILLE, MD-The tenant roster at the 228,000-sf Rockville Metro Plaza I–the first of a three-building, 620,000-sf office portfolio that will be part of the new mixed-use Town Center endeavor–has expanded now that NIH Federal Credit Union and the Montgomery County Department of Economic Development have committed to a total of 44,700 sf of class A space. Both occupants will be relocating from offices here to the three-year-old structure at 111 Rockville Pike under 10-year leases.

NIH leased 28,000 sf–one entire floor–and 3,700 sf of the building’s first-floor retail segment, while the DED signed on for 13,000 sf. J. Andrew Masters and Scott C. Randolph of real estate services firm CB Richard Ellis secured the new tenants for property owner and developer Foulger-Pratt Cos. “These transactions exemplify the ‘flight to quality’ trend that has taken place in Montgomery County as tenants relocate to newer office buildings,” Masters explains.
