Medical Office Sector is Bright Spot in Twin Cities

MINNEAPOLIS-Rising demand for health care services has spurred development of off-campus clinics and multiple locations in retail areas throughout the Twin Cities, according to a new market report from Grubb & Ellis/Northco.

MINNEAPOLIS-The medical office market is expected to be one of the bright spots in an otherwise stagnant Twin Cities commercial real estate market this year, according to a new report from Grubb & Ellis/Northco. Smaller off-campus clinics are becoming increasingly popular as doctors and other medical professionals recognize the economies of scale and value, and locate their practices closer to where their patients reside, the report concludes.

Many Twin Cities physicians are operating branch clinics in multiple locations to meet patient needs. Often, these offices are going in areas typically used for retail projects.
