CHANHASSEN, MN-Life Time Fitness is opening a 109,000-sf health and fitness center here July 8, a month ahead of schedule. The new location at 2901 Corporate Pl. is the national health and fitness center operator's new model for its centers.

The latest model features a large indoor/outdoor aquatics center, featuring multiple, two-story waterslides, two large, zero-depth recreation pools, a lap pool and children's interactive play area, two whirlpools and an outdoor bistro. The new center, which has 24-hour access, will offer weight training, exercise classes, and offers rock climbing walls, two full-size basketball courts, squash, and racquetball courts, yoga studio, among other amenities.

Life Time Fitness' Chanhassen facility will be the company's 15th health and fitness center in Minnesota and its 42nd facility in the US. Life Time Fitness also has locations in Arizona, Illinois, Indiana, Michigan, Ohio, Texas and Virginia.
