Waxie Sanitary Supply will immediately take over the extra space at 725 W. Alameda Dr., a 50,000-sf warehouse abutting its existing facility. "Waxie owns its current facility and plans to stay there and just expand into the leased property," says Rick Collins, a marketing associate with Ross Brown Partners Inc. The company plans to connect the drives between the buildings. He tells GlobeSt.com that Waxie wanted a short-term lease because it wanted to "test the waters" to see if it could operate out of two buildings.
The supplier is splitting the space in the 25-year-old building with PBE Warehouse Inc. Collins and principal Curtis Brown represented the building owner, Wespark Associates Inc. of Mesa. The tenant's rep was Don Mitchell of CB Richard Ellis Inc.'s San Diego office.
