Balducci's Commits to 17,000-SF Space

BETHESDA, MD-Balducci’s, famous for its original Greenwich Village store in New York and its subsequent gourmet food chains along the eastern seaboard, is relocating its store support office to a new building less than a half mile from its current location. The food company leased 17,000 sf in the 92,000-sf office building at 10411 Motor City Dr. and will vacate its current locale at 6903 Rockledge Dr. in the third quarter.

Also known as Vaswani Place I, the nearly two-decade-old building at 10411 Motor City Dr. is home to a diverse list of tenants that includes Allstate Insurance, Gigabit, Jobin Realty, Plumsea Law Group and Professional Healthcare Resources. Balducci’s will make its home on the entire top floor of the five-story structure. “After the acquisition and the arrival of new leadership, Balducci’s was seeking larger space that could accommodate its growth, with aggressive economic terms,” CB Richard Ellis’s Steve Silverberg says. “The building’s proximity to I-495 and I-270 made this location very attractive for the company and its needs.”
