Relying on the disposition assistance of real estate services firm Scheer Partners, mental health treatment corporation Affiliated Sante Group Cos.--having acquired the six-story facility for $2.2 million in 1992 for its own occupancy--sold the property. According to Montgomery County records, the downtown-area property has a current assessed value of about $2.8 million.

Developed 25 years ago, 700 Roeder occupies a corner parcel south of the Capital Beltway. As for future plans for the class B facility, the Archdiocese has not settled on all the specifics with regard to usage and possible renovations, but part of the building will house a lay leadership institute for the education of new parish leaders.
