The next store will be a unit in Palm Springs, CA, in November. The Beverly Hills unit, which originally opened in 2000, is 3,800 sf, and the Palm Desert store will be 2,800 sf, says a spokeswoman at locally based fashion firm Candies Inc., which acquired the Badgley license in October.

Candies executives have not released a total number of Badgley stores they are looking to roll out. So far they have targeted Las Vegas, Miami, New York and Palm Beach, FL, as cities that could be appropriate for the brand. Most of the stores will be in luxury street-front locations, says the spokeswoman, but the company has not ruled out such malls as the one in the Wynne Resort in Las Vegas and Bal Harbour Shops outside of Miami.

"Having beautiful retail stores in these prestigious markets is a wonderful way for us to showcase the glamour and elegance of the Badgley Mischka brand," says Neil Cole, Candies CEO, in a statement. "As we continue our expansion into new categories it will be more important than ever to be able to show our consumers how everything relates together."
