John Hudson joins Caldwell Watson from consulting firm, Corporate Knight Services Inc., which winding down its operations. He was vice president of sales and administration.
Hudson will be managing a group of 25 brokers at Caldwell Watson. "As the company has grown, they experimented with having senior brokers manage the brokerage activities, but that didn't work out," he explains. "Caldwell Watson was looking for someone who could come in and bring some infrastructure and process to the brokerage business."
Hudson will report to Fred Caldwell, the firm's president and CEO. "My objectives and challenges for the new role are almost identical," Hudson tells GlobeSt.com. His plan is to set up performance metrics for brokers and evaluate skill sets to determine "what's working and what's not," he says.
Hudson also is focused on increasing communication between Caldwell Watson divisions. "Right now the divisions stand independently and there are some synergies between them," he points out.
