CHICAGO-Smithfield Properties will build 45 condominiums on the 1700 block of N. Winnebago Avenue and 18,752 sf of retail space along N. Milwaukee Avenue. The $20-million Winnebago Court project, endorsed recently by the plan commission, will be built on a 1.9-acre trapezoid-shaped site divided by the Chicago Transit Authority’s Blue Line elevated tracks.

Smithfield Properties’ Rob Buono tells GlobeSt.com says the developers hope to have the retail space ready by late next summer. The condominiums, priced from $300,000 to $550,000, are scheduled for completion in 2007, he adds.
