Steven G. Gordon, will retain his title of president. Signature executives assure that Gordon is not planning on retirement, but that placing Signature's daily operational responsibilities in Woods' hands will allow Gordon to devote more of his time to Signature's clients.

Woods has been in commercial real estate in the Detroit region for 19 years. He comes to Signature from Cushman & Wakefield's where he was managing director of the Detroit Office. Previously, Woods had served as vice president at Ford Land Development.

Signature said Gordon and Woods have a relationship that spans two decades. Woods' "think locally, act globally" strategy, along with Signature's already-talented team of professionals, will create a stronger company and continue its reputation of being the leading brokerage firm in the marketplace, Gordon said. In addition to its main office in Southfield, Signature also has offices in Kalamazoo, Grand Rapids and Lansing, MI, and Toledo, OH.
