The CB Richard Ellis team of Snezana Anderson and Bernhard Weinstabel arranged the 10-year transaction on behalf of GL Consultants in negotiations with owner ZAR Realty. Anderson and Rocco Laginestra negotiated the lease for CAST, while building owner Rudin Management Co. Inc. was represented by in-house counsel. Additional information on the transactions was not available.
"Europe-based businesses have expanded in Manhattan by leaps and bounds over the past year," explains Anderson. "This is the second expansion by GL Consultants since we originally brought the firm to the property." The company, based in Paris, will now occupy the entire 16th floor at the 312,000-sf tower located between East 38th and East 39th streets.
Anderson says CAST's move to Midtown "inserts CAST into an ownership portfolio that could accommodate any future growth needs--an option that most technology firms need today." Anderson and Laginestra were also able to sublease CAST's former 6,400-sf offices.
