CB Richard Ellis's Patrick W. Marr represented K&LNG in negotiating the 15-year lease, the financial terms of which have not been disclosed. Zeke T. Dodson, Richard C. Tonner Jr. and Kerri A. Mulligan of Cassidy & Pinkard spoke for the property owner and are handling leasing at the building. Space is being marketed for $45 per sf, according to Winter 2005 Skyline Report.

Located in the city's central business district just two blocks north of the White House, 1601 K St. will be a class A facility rising 11 stories high. The building will feature a fitness facility, two levels of underground parking, as well as a location near two Metro stations. When K&LNG made its original commitment to space at 1601 K St. in 2003, it was operating as Kirkpatrick & Lockhart; but it officially merged with the UK's Nicholson Graham & Jones on the first of this year and increased its staff to about 950 attorneys.
